In 2006, Millie was found as a kitten, lying in a bush with an injured rear leg that was gangrene and exposed to the bone. She was rushed to Sunrise Veterinary Clinic where Dr. Henderson performed emergency surgery to remove her leg thereby saving her life. Millie recovered in foster care and was adopted by a family who calls her their miracle child. Four years later, Millie's family reports she is an active, healthy, energetic girl who doesn't let having only three legs slow her down!
The Las Vegas Valley Humane Society (LVVHS) is constantly in need of funds. The society is wholly supported by tax-deductible, voluntary contributions from the public. The society receives no funding from local, state or federal governments. All money received is used solely for the animals. All animals rescued receive veterinarian care, disease testing, shots, and are spayed and neutered.
